Merry Christmas! (and a new book, because it's Christmas...)

Merry Christmas, everyone!
And a very happy New Year, when it comes.

It's Christmas Eve, and I have a new book freshly arrived on Amazon for the holidays (it'll be out on other venues in the New Year, when they're open for publishing!)

Snowbound Summer is the third book in the Logan Series, featuring Nick Logan - the yummy vet who has made fleeting appearances in the two earlier books. I'm delighted to share his story!

Here's some more about it...

Summer in the snow…
Restaurant owner Summer Costello, reeling from recent failures in her perfect life, is hiding out in her childhood home. When she finds an injured dog outside in a snowstorm, she calls the local vet, who turns out to be her younger brother Declan’s best friend, gorgeous Nick Logan.
She’s his secret crush–no woman Nick’s dated has matched up to the fantasy of being with Summer, the woman who blazed out of Brookbridge for a new life in London years ago. Now, a dog needs his aid, and despite treacherous conditions he drives out to help. She’ll be there with her boyfriend, and surely his infatuation will have burned itself out?
Stranded in a snowstorm, Summer sizzles with attraction for the man Nick has become. And when Summer confides her long-term relationship is over, and suggests a clandestine fling, is there any way Nick can resist her, even though she’s the one woman Declan warned him to keep away from?

Available as of today on Amazon.com here
and Amazon.co.uk here

And everywhere else in the New Year.

Merry Christmas!

Something for nothing, and something for 99c

Challenging Andie is free at the moment.....

Jaded war correspondent Ryan Armstrong reports terrible events without letting them pierce the armor covering his heart. When his colleague Emily Harte is murdered, he feels responsible for her death, and travels to England to return Emily’s effects to her daughter.
Bereaved, primary school teacher, Andie Harte has set herself a list of challenges to prove she can be as brave as her recently murdered mother, but when she’s hounded by the press the need to escape means she must accept help from Ryan. During their time in seclusion, attraction blossoms into an affair. Their relationship was only supposed to be a fling. When the time comes for Ryan to return to Bekostan, can she risk loving a thrillseeker, or is that a challenge too far?
Ryan avoids love, knowing the pain losing it can bring. A life without Andie is sensible, but is it possible?

Available everywhere. Including...

And my new release, Racing the Hunter's Moon
is 99c ... here's an excerpt

“Hungry?”
Betty’s heart pounded hard enough to burst. She swung around, and her startled gaze shot to the man who filled the doorway. A man with midnight-blue eyes.
Him.
Her hand fluttered at her throat. What on earth was the stranger from this morning doing here? Had he followed her?
“You’re Betty?” His eyes scanned her face with an I-don’t-believe-it look. He took a step forward, then another.
Everything in Betty rioted with the urge to escape. She eyed the doorway behind him and edged farther behind the table, putting solid pine between them. Her mouth was so dry it was as if she’d spent days crawling through the desert. He knows my name. She swallowed. “What are you doing here?”
“Calm down.” As if realizing her agitation, he stopped. Held up his hands palms-out. “I’m Joe Carter.”
“You’re Joe Carter?”
“Is there an echo in here?” His hands lowered to his sides. The tension seemed to leave his shoulders and the corners of his mouth lifted in a smile.
Smoothing a hand over her hair, she glanced down at the table. A funny, fluttery feeling on seeing that smile replaced the panic she’d felt moments earlier. Unwanted awareness of him chased the tension from her body and filled it with warmth.
She rubbed the ache blooming at her temple. “Very funny.” To her annoyance, her words came out husky-soft, rather than sarcasm-laced. “I’ve been waiting here for almost two hours for a carpenter to show up, and now you? If you’re Joe, what were you doing grabbing me this morning?”
He avoided the question and looked past her at the open freezer door. “Looks like you were keeping yourself busy. Raiding the freezer, were you?”
Huh. “I was hungry. Someone kept me waiting.” The only reason she would ever break into someone else’s freezer was under desperate circumstances. “What are you, carpenter or…”
“It’s complicated.” He smiled, and once again attraction grabbed her insides with both hands and twisted. “But I have got a job to do this evening before we talk. I’m hungry too.” A black eyebrow arched. “Maybe you and I could have dinner after I’ve assembled the bed?”
Faded jeans rode low on his lean hips and clung to his thighs. Above them, he wore a chunky navy sweater under a battered black leather jacket. Average, everyday clothing. But the breadth of his shoulders, the glimpse of tanned collarbone evident in the dip of the sweater’s crew neck, were far from average or everyday. She scanned down. Work boots. Big work boots. Big feet, big… Cutting that thought off at the pass, Betty’s gaze shot up to collide with his.
Amusement danced in his eyes. “Well? Like what you see?”

Tea with Nora Roberts...and new release day!

So yesterday I had tea with Nora Roberts in the Lodge at Ashford Castle...which was fabulous.

And today, it's release day for Racing the Hunter's Moon - which is also fabulous. I'm liking this week already!

Here's a little about the story:
Pretending to be a couple may drive them crazy.
Feisty mechanic Betty Smith should have only one thing on her mind—catching the conman who swindled her mother. Not the sexy stranger who kissed her then completely disappeared.
Undercover FBI agent Joe Carter needs to focus on the bad guy who got away, not the gorgeous headstrong brunette who watches too many cop shows and keeps interfering in his case. Unfortunately, catching their prey before he skips town means working together.
But while entering the vintage car rally as a couple seemed like a good idea at the time, faking feelings for each other turns out to be the easiest part. Neither one can allow anything to get in their way, but staying away from each other is impossible. They both know, though, once their plan is complete, so is their time together.

Love On The Vine - again

I have the rights back on a novella previously with The Wild Rose Press, and have today published it again on Amazon and it is trickling through to iTunes, Kobo, B&N etc as I write. Currently 99c on Amazon, but I expect it to go free on Amazon soon, as it will be free for a while on the other sites.

The book has been altered slightly and re-edited - I considered adding in some steamier sex to bring it from a sweet rating to a spicy rating, but in the end, decided to leave it as a sweet as my current wip is definitely on the hotter side!

Here's the cover, isn't it gorgeous?

p.s. I hope to have a release date soon for the last book in the Under the Hood series, coming this summer!

Something from William Shakespeare for the Summer Solstice

In celebration of the Summer Solstice, I give you a snippet from A Midsummer Night's Dream... which shows that determined women and men playing hard to get in romances is nothing new....

DEMETRIUS

Do I entice you? do I speak you fair?

Or, rather, do I not in plainest truth

Tell you, I do not, nor I cannot love you?

HELENA

And even for that do I love you the more.

I am your spaniel; and, Demetrius,

The more you beat me, I will fawn on you:

Use me but as your spaniel, spurn me, strike me,

Neglect me, lose me; only give me leave,

Unworthy as I am, to follow you.

What worser place can I beg in your love,--

And yet a place of high respect with me,--

Than to be used as you use your dog?

DEMETRIUS

Tempt not too much the hatred of my spirit;

For I am sick when I do look on thee.

HELENA

And I am sick when I look not on you.

Conflict and character set up well from the start...Enjoy the start of summer everyone!

REVIEW COPIES - LOVE FOR BEGINNERS!

I have some exciting news today! My next book, a novella length story - the second in the Under the Hood Series called Love for Beginners, is going to be released from Entangled Publishing on May 27th and  they’re offering free review copies to the first 50 people who sign up!

You don't have to be a blogger to receive the book; however, they'd like the review to be posted within 1 Week of Release on Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.

The Under the Hood Series is about a group of three women who run a garage in Virginia. Book 1, Under the Hood, is Alice's story, and Book 2, Love for Beginners is Mel's. There is a Book 3 scheduled for release later this year, which concludes the series, and is Betty's story.

The cover is under wraps for the moment, but here's the blurb:

She needs a lesson in love, and he’s the perfect teacher.
Mechanic Melody Swan is looking for a man who can share her hopes and dreams, but she swore she would never lose herself to passion. When sexy Heath Starr agrees to temporarily sub in the Under the Hood garage for his sister, Mel sees the perfect opportunity to enjoy being with a man without becoming attached.
Heath came to Meadowsweet to photograph nature, not find a hookup, especially since his last relationship ended in disaster. He vowed he’d never break another woman’s heart, and in turn, protect his own. Still, when Mel offers to serve as his outdoor guide, he can’t refuse.
Mel may say she’s only looking for right now, but her body is speaking a whole different language. And Heath’s viewfinder is drawn to her time and again. When the two find themselves isolated in a rustic cabin, they could both break their promises if they aren’t careful…

If you’re interested in receiving a review copy, just click the link to fill out this form and my publicist will be in touch.

I'm getting around...and have signed a new contract!

I've updated my books tab above to include links for all the new places my books are appearing - after being mostly available on kindle only for a while, I've decided to branch out and offer my books on B&N, Kobo, iTunes and Google Play. I've included the link for my page at each store, although be warned, some of the stores are showing books under my author name that aren't mine!

In other news...(drumroll)

I planned on writing two more books about the Under The Hood garage, about the other two women owner/mechanics, and have just signed a new contract with Entangled Publishing for these. Woo!

Book 2 is titled Under the Stars, and is Mel's story, and Book 3 is titled Under a Hunter's Moon and is Betty's story. I have submitted both of these, and hope to have more news on them soon. Both books are novellas, but about twice the size of Under The Hood at around 40k each.

I'm also starting work on book 3 of The Logan Series...

Another new release... Three Minutes to Happiness (The Logan Series, Book 2)

Three Minutes to Happiness is out today!
This is the second book in the Logan series, which started with Runaway Groom last summer. It features Finn, who is the brother of Matthew Logan (the runaway groom).

This is a funny one, so if humour and romance is your thing, check it out! For reviewers, Three Minutes to Happiness is available at the moment on NetGalley, and I also have a goodreads giveaway going on for a signed paperback.

Here's an extract...
His gaze flickered to the piece of paper she was holding. “You have a list?” One eyebrow rose.
“I have a list.” She nodded to make her point.
“And if I get all the answers right, I get your number?” Interest flickered in his eyes as he looked down at the paper, as if trying to read it upside down.
“Maybe.” Her answer was more than she’d given to any of the men she’d already met, but to be honest, he was the first one who had interested her.
His fingers flicked in a ‘bring-it-on’ gesture.
“Okay, first question.” She glanced down the list and picked number three. “Han Solo or Luke Skywalker?”
“Princess Leia.” His mouth twitched. “Next.”
“Take-out or restaurant?”
“Home cooked.” His eyelids half closed, lending a dangerously seductive quality to his face. “I grill a mean steak.”
Val rubbed a hand around the back of her neck. Is it hot in here?
“Disco dancing or waltzing?”
The dimple in his cheek made a brief appearance. “Neither. Can’t dance.”
She grinned. “You’re not very good at answering questions. These are two choice questions—you’re supposed to choose one.”
“Well, I’m pretty crappy at dancing, but if I had to choose one…”
“You do.”
“I’d go for waltzing. Or a slow shuffle so as not to show myself up.” His head tilted to the side. “Do I get to ask a question yet?”
They only had a minute or so left. And she had been monopolizing the time available. “I guess.”
Finn gazed at her mouth. Sparks seemed to crackle in the air between them, and attraction pulled the breath from her lungs at just that one, hungry look. “How many yeses have you ticked on your card?”
It seemed wrong to tell him, somehow, that none of the men so far had even sparked an ion of interest. But they hadn’t. She was here under false pretenses. Had no intention of finding a man tonight.
The thought of diving into the love pool after she’d almost drowned last time scared her witless. It was much safer standing on the side, if a little lonely.
“That’s sort of a personal question.” She crossed her arms and stared him down.
“I know.” He grinned. “But it’s the one I’m interested in knowing the answer to. And you only have seconds to answer it.”
“None.” There. It was out. She hadn’t chosen anyone to see again, and if that made her picky, so be it.
“Good.” He crossed his arms. “I haven’t said yes to anyone yet either.”
The bell rang.
He leaned forward and spoke in a deep whisper. “Tick yes to me. I haven’t finished with you yet.”

Out on Amazon, Amazon.co.uk, Kobo, B&N, iTunes and in paperback.
