Runaway Groom - Out Now!

My new book, Runaway Groom, is out early! This is a sort of genre crossover book - both Contemporary Romance and also New Adult Romance, and was great fun to write. It's available in both ebook and paperback versions.

April walked before him up the path to the house they shared. The sway of her hips in the warm claret-colored dress mesmerized. The back of her calves, the indent at the back of her knee so smooth, so touchable. Would her skin be warm under his fingers?

She slipped her key into the lock as he came up behind her quick and close. His hand slipped around her waist as he breathed in the scent of her hair.

She leaned back, angling her head to the side. A sound somewhere between a moan and sigh rippled from her throat, making him harden instantly.

Matthew’s palm was flat against the front door. The moment it opened, she turned, sliding her hands up his jacket and into his hair. This moment had been too long coming. Every moment in the restaurant had been torture; talking business when instead his entire being demanded he get April alone. Now, at last, the moment had come, and he wasn’t wasting a single minute.

#samplesunday Runaway Groom

My new book Runaway Groom will be out on 9 June, so I thought it might be good to have a taster for Sample Sunday... here April has to come clean about the night before with Matthew Logan...

“You’ve got to admire a man who kisses a woman over cocoa,” Marie sipped her drink. “Especially if she’s wearing a onesie.”

“I can’t see it.” Eliza’s forehead pleated. “I thought it was black for winter, white for summer. I’ve never seen you in anything with yellow on it, especially not ducks. Don’t get me wrong though, I’ve nothing against ducky onesies.”

“It wasn’t mine, you idiot.”

“If you tell me it was his, you’ll totally ruin the moment. You know that, right?” Marie said.

“It’s his sister’s. All my stuff was in the washing machine, I borrowed it.” She tucked her legs under her and refilled her glass. “It was just one of those things, you know, the fire—I was upset…”

“So it was a chaste comforting kiss, was it?” Eliza leaned forward.

Red flags signaled nope on April’s face again. “Um…”

“Just stop beating about the bush and out with it. Every single detail,” Marie demanded. “You know you want to.”

The feelings dammed up within needed an outlet. April breathed in deep, and recounted the story of the kiss.

“And then today he came home early and I caught him in the shower.”

The sound emanating from Marie could only be described as a squeal.

“Behind an opaque shower-curtain catch?”

“More like behind a totally transparent shower screen catch.” Heat flared though her entire body at the memory.
